Heaters (preheaters) with a spiral coil

  2. Service life: 25 years

This type of heaters is used to preheat an intermediate heat transfer agent (thermal liquid) that, in turn, heats other equipment or liquids.

Heaters with a spiral coil, in one or another version, are commonly applied in petrochemical, oil-and-gas and chemical industries.

The following design configurations of heaters with a spiral coil are available:

  1. Horizontal configuration
  2. Vertical configuration
  3. Two- or three-pass configuration

As distinctive specific features, the following can be noted:

  1. Easy design
  2. High fuel saving characteristics, in combination with high performance
  3. For this type of heaters, heat emission can be up to 85%
  4. Relatively low cost
  5. Configuration with a manifold is possible
  6. Relatively short manufacturing time
  7. Low operating costs

The following products can be used as fuels for the heater operation: natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, commercial oil fuels.

Depending on the fuel type, a heater can be reequipped with an air blower, special nozzles on housing, drain box with an auger-type unloader for blowing-off cleaning cycles carried out to remove ash accumulated as a result of fuel combustion.

Heaters automatically maintain the operating temperature set by an operator. The error is 0.4% of the temperature setting.

Heaters have several protective characteristics to ensure continuous operation within the specified limits. They are automatically shut down as soon as deviations are detected during operation.

Limit switches and sensors ensure reliable operation. They monitor the burner flame, heat transfer agent temperature, spent gas temperature, heat transfer agent and fuel flow rate, combustion air pressure.

Convection-type heaters (preheaters)

Purpose: to preheat liquids especially overheat-sensitive, such as crude oil etc.

Configuration: horizontal

Design features:

  • The temperature of the heated liquid “film” can be precisely controlled
  • Difference only 2.4 degrees can be reached between the “film” temperature and the heated liquid flow volumetric temperature in a coil
  • Durability
  • Easy repair
  • Higher effectiveness than that for heaters with a spiral coil

Performance: 2-100 million BTU/hour

Service life: 30 years

Scope of application: petrochemical, chemical, automobile, food processing and other industries where accurate heating of overheat-sensitive liquids is required.

Vertical heaters (preheaters) with a serpentine-type coil

Performance:
1-85 million BTU/hour
0.25-19.0 Gcal/hour
0.29-23.00 MW

Service life: 30 years

Scope of application: primarily they are used in food processing, chemical, petrochemical and oil industry. These heaters can be used to heat virtually any liquid.

Cab-type heaters (preheaters)

Performance:
1-50 million BTU/hour
0.25-14.0 Gcal/hour
0.29-16.00 MW

Service life: 30 years

Scope of application: a unit of this type is used, first of all, for sophisticated high-temperature processes; frequent cleaning of a combustion chamber is necessary.

Water bath-type heaters (preheaters)

Performance:
0.3-8 million BTU/hour
0.07-2.3 Gcal/hour
0.08-2.5 MW

Service life: 15 years

It indirectly heats liquid in gaseous or liquid state. The liquid flows through heated coils in a heater. The coils are submerged into a liquid bath heated by a fire tube; a burner is used to heat a fire tube. As a liquid bath, water-glycol mixture, salt solution or, sometimes, thermal liquid can be used, depending on the necessary temperature.

Purpose: used to heat low-temperature liquids.

Electric heaters (preheaters)

These heaters (preheaters) are used to heat a wide range of liquids. They are provided with several tubes with electric heating elements within these tubes. Elements heat liquid or gas passing through the chamber around the heating tubes.

Performance: from 29 to 200 kW

Circulating heaters

They are designed to preheat liquids, gases or vapors including air, heat agents, helium, nitrogen, oil, steam or water.

  • For heating up to the temperature 690°C.
  • Standard configuration including thick-wall vessels (insulated and placed in a casing) and thermostats.
  • Remote controller panel.

Tank farm electric heating systems

These systems are used to heat or to maintain temperatures at up to 550°C for a wide range of liquids or gases placed in containers or process vessels. Low power density of heating elements is recommended to heat viscous or temperature-sensitive materials such as asphalt, chocolate, petroleum fuel, resins, rubbers and tar.

  • Tank farm heating system with an integrated control.
  • Tank car and tank truck preheating for temperature compensation during transportation.
  • Tubular heaters from 3" to 40" for various applications.

Resistive tubular electric heating systems

  • A tube becomes a heating element eliminating a heater burning-out and other problems.
  • Standardized resistive heaters for viscous media are available. Heating is uniform.
  • Used to heat asphalt, chocolate, glue, molasses, paraffin, syrups, tar and wax.
  • These resistive heaters are used to heat air and other gases up to temperatures as high as 900°С.
  • Equipment also includes a control panel, a transformer, a thermocouple sensor, an electric terminal and sets of insulators.

Electric air heaters for gases and liquids

Electric air heaters are designed for operation in furnaces, autoclaves and other industrial drying, baking and thermal treatment systems.

  • Air heating up to 680°C.
  • Open, tubular and finned tubular electric air heaters.
  • Standard range up to 5000 kW.
  • Remote controller panel

Heat-exchanger equipment

Upon becoming the official distributer of process heaters and preheaters, our company ‘Intech GmbH’ LLC (ООО «Интех ГмбХ»), carries out the following: finds the buyers of your products on the market, conducts technical and commercial negotiations with the customers regarding the supplies of your equipment, concludes contracts. Should a bidding take place, we will collect and prepare all the documents required for the participation, conclude all the necessary contracts for the supply of your equipment, as well as register the goods (process heaters) and conduct customs clearance procedures. We will also register a certificate of transaction (Passport of Deal) required for all foreign trade contracts in the foreign currency control department of the authorized Russian bank so that currency transaction could be effected. If required, our company will implement an equipment spacing project in order to integrate your equipment into the existing or newly built production plant.
